Project LAUNCH - A NAM (Native American and Alaska Native Children in School - A U.S. Department of Education Title III Discretionary Grant

The goal of this program is to support the teaching, learning and studying of Native American languages while also increasing the English language proficiency of students served. Osage County Interlocal Cooperative with member districts-Bowring, Hominy, and Pawhuska, Osage Nation Language Department, Osage Nation Wah-Zah-Zhi Early Learning Academy (WELA) at Fairfax, Hominy, Pawhuska, and Skiatook, Osage Nation Da-Po-Skah Ahn-Ko-Dah-Pi PK Immersion school, Osage Nation PIPE Program(parent education) and Osage Nation Book & Resource Mobile are partners in Project LAUNCH (Language Advancement Utilizing Culture and Heritage). Objectives include: Increasing Native American children’s academic success and performance; Encouraging and supporting Native American language survival; and involving parents to improve early learning outcomes and success.
