Overview
The Osage County Interlocal Cooperative (OCIC) is seeking a dedicated Project Director / Psychometrist to join our team-oriented initiative aimed at supporting rural school districts. The selected candidate will serve in a dual role. As the Project Director of two federally funded mental health grants, the selected candidate will provide leadership, oversight, and coordination for two federally funded programs to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations and to maximize program effectiveness. This role manages program planning, budgeting, implementation, reporting, and evaluation for federal programs, as well as supervising federal program staff. As a School Psychometrist, the selected candidate will support the evaluation and identification of students who may need special education services by administering, scoring, and documenting a variety of standardized assessments under the supervision of a certified school psychologist. The psychometrist assists in gathering academic, cognitive, behavioral, and developmental data to support eligibility determinations, instructional planning, and educational decision-making.
NOTE: Position is contingent upon continued federal funding of discretionary grants. The position will end if funding ceases.
Key Responsibilities
Administer standardized educational and psychological assessments as directed by the OCIC Director of Special Education.
Score, record, and summarize results of assessments accurately and within required timelines.
Prepare assessment materials, ensure testing environments meet standardization requirements, and maintain test security.
Conduct observations, rating scales, and structured interviews when assigned.
Assist with progress monitoring measures and/or curriculum-based assessments.
The Project Director will also be responsible for day to day activities; supervising staff; establish, coordinate, implement and maintain project policies, procedures schedules, and budgets.
Ascertain that the goals and requirements of the grant are met.
Collaborate with the evaluator in establishing effective procedures for evaluating the project and planning for administration of appropriate measurement instruments.
Select, with appropriate administrators, personnel for project employment.
Meet regularly with key school administrators, staff, and teachers; assist in planning, designing, producing, and disseminating project-developed materials.
Coordinate with the external evaluator to prepare and disseminate required evaluation reports and publications.
Qualifications
1. Master’s degree or higher and appropriate certification (certification in School Psychometry or currenlty enrolled in a School Psychometry program); experience in program administration, teaching in a rural setting, and working in federal education programs serving rural children; and knowledge of the current Oklahoma and Federal legislation affecting programs for Oklahoma children, and proposal and program development.
2. Experience as a school principal or superintendent. Superintendent certification preferred.
3. Ability to relate effectively to students, parents, administrators, teachers, education assistants, volunteers, consultants, and program officials at the state and federal levels.
4. Knowledge of and experience in developing print and electronic dissemination media, using technologies to develop, convert, and distribute program information, and implementing project-related dissemination strategies.
5. Familiarity with the communities to be served.
